MsUSBF New England 2006 FIGURE JUDGING CRITERIA 
The judging will be conducted in two rounds. The first and second rounds will be conducted during prejudging.

Excessive body piercing jewelry (chains connecting rings) should be removed prior to the show. 

There will be two height classes, divided evenly prior to the show.

PREJUDGING

ROUND 1: In this round, contestant attire is restricted to 2-piece swim suit and high heels. The suit can be outlined with rhinestones. Excessive use of rhinestones can result in lowering your Presentation score. With regard to the high heels, there are no restrictions on the sole or height of the heel. 

This round will consist of a group presentation and quarter turns. This is where the contestants are being compared against the members of their height class. The areas being scored in this round are Physique and Presentation. With regard to Physique, the judges are looking for athletic conditioning and symmetry. The judges will rank each competitor in comparison to the competitors in her class. With regard to Presentation, the judges will be looking for: poise, skin tone, make-up, hair style, and a good smile. Judges will rate the competitors from 1 to 3. A rating of 1 means that the presentation was excellent. A rating of 2 means that the presentation was satisfactory and performed without any significant errors, and a rating of 3 indicates the need for additional work. Judges can add increments of .25 to the score if they deem it necessary.

ROUND 2: In this round, contestant attire is the same as Round 1. This round will consist of an individual stage walk.

Stage Walk: After having your number called by the Head Judge, the contestant will perform the stage walk. After the stage walk, the contestant will exit the stage area. The entire stage walk should have a even flow. Turning into your poses should be as smooth as possible. 

With regard to scoring the Stage Walk, the judges will be looking for grace during the stage walk (walking in heels). Judges will rate the competitors from 1 to 3. A rating of 1 means that the stage walk was executed seamlessly. A rating of 2 means that the stage walk was satisfactory and performed without any significant errors, and a rating of 3 indicates the need for additional work. Judges can add increments of .25 to the score if they deem it necessary. 

EVENING SHOW

During the evening show, all competitors will perform the stage walk. After all the stage walks are completed, the top 5 competitors for each class will be announced. The Top 5 competitors in each class will come back on stage later in the show for award presentations. The First Place finisher in each class will compete for the Overall Title.

The Top 3 class finishers of any sanctioned MsUSBF Figure Championships will qualify for cash prizes at the MsUSBF Figure National Championships.
